First off, I have 2(maybe even 3) websites that I’m suppose to work on over break. One is supposed to have been done already, but the timing of receiving materials with school assignments really threw that one off. It is priority number one next week. In fact, I’ll probably get working on it before this week is over with.

Second, I’ll be spending a week or so back at Jobscope doing whatever programming tasks that have available for me. Hopefully, that will allow me to have textbooks and eat next semester… always a plus.

Third, independent research. Unfortunately, I probably won’t get to actually do much with this because of my plethora of other work to do. But I still have my project I began last summer that I want to work on, as well as two new projects just recently devised. I know that is incredibly vague, but ideas are very valuable in a line of work where they can be turned into products very rapidly. So I’m keeping the lid on my ideas until after the products are ready to go!

So as part of a long term solution for my web sites, I have decided to move my blog to www.micahlee.net. This move is prompted by my plan to expand my web presence to include more business aspects, as a contract programmer and web developer/designer. With this in mind, I would rather use my commercial (.com) domain name for business and my more generic .net domain name for my personal site. Originally, I wasn’t going to make the move so soon, but rather get the business site developed first and then move. After some more thought, however, I realized that, while I don’t have all that many readers now, I need to plan for having more readers later, and If I waited to move the site, I could potentially disrupt more people trying to locate my blog than if I went ahead and moved now. Now, I realize that the six of you who read this blog are probably laughing that I put this much thought into moving, but this post is, in fact, for you six people. So be ready to point your browsers to micahlee.net on or around July 14 and you can keep reading about me as usual. Unless, of course, you want to hire me to do your programming, design, or web work. Then you should go to micahlee.com. I know I would hire me.

In my endless amount of free time(yeah right), my brother, cousins, and myself have decided to try our hand at movie making. Now, as four guys growing up together, we’ve had this idea a few times before, with varying degrees of failure, so we know what to expect. It probably won’t end up going anywhere. But all the same it should be a pretty fun endeavor. The neat thing about this iteration of movie making is that my older cousin and myself have actually learned a thing or two about how the post-production side of the movie business works over the past couple of years. So this could turn out to be a nice chance for us to play with some of the technology we’ve learned about and actually gain some experience using it(You never know when Steven Spielberg might call you up!). Inevitably , our creativity will outrun our budget and our blockbuster will die there. But until then, I’m sure we’ll have some fun making parodies of Indiana Jones… yikes! did I say that out loud?!

Stay tuned…
